We Promote Catch and Release Fishing

In our province of British Columbia, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans monitor our fish stocks closely and have regulations that protect under-sized fish and certain species. This allows the preservation of our fish for future generations. DFO studies show that 85% - 95% of released fish will survive when caught with barb-less hooks, which is required by law in our regions. Some of our guests also choose to practice the "catch-photograph-release" technique of legal sized fish and we applaud them. Our fish is our legacy.

Comments:

"I have been a repeat guest now at the Campbell River Lodge for years and consider myself lucky enough to be one of the most successful fishermen in the Lodge's history! Over the years, the Lodge has looked after my family and friends as well as myself so well that there's no question that I would return again and again. I can honestly consider myself to be an "Ambassador" for the Lodge and one of the Lodge's longest yearly repeat customers. (They must be doing something right!) I look forward to returning to the Campbell River Lodge again this year (the 19th consecutive) so I can carry on the tradition of fun times and great fishing!"
